H2H has become a festival supplier
We have been running a rental business for 4 years, and more and more people are discovering that Halden has its own supplier of festival equipment, sound and grills, says Terje Vidar Høvik, who is in charge of rentals.
In addition to private events such as weddings, birthday celebrations and company parties, we have delivered to several large events, including 17 May, Sommerparken, Grensetreffet, Grenserittet and soon Barnas Verdensdager.
But this year it was the festivals that came one after another.
It started in the winter when Kaktusfestivalen got in touch and wanted tables and bench sets, which we of course could deliver.
Soon after, Roy Andersen got in touch. He had planned to hold several festivals this summer, including at Fredriksten. In the start-up year there were some changes, but Hvalerfestivalen went ahead as planned. There H2H delivered all the tables, chairs, benches and some tents. In fact, it amounted to more than half a trailer of equipment.
This summer we got in touch with Halden's new festival, Oppå Borgen, which is taking place these days.
They were going to have a DJ in the chill-out and food area and wanted sound equipment for that. We of course took care of it. And then it also became a delivery of tables and benches to the same area at the festival.
In most cases we agree a rental price for the equipment, which goes to H2H's work in Romania, aid shipments to Ukraine and mental health projects in Halden.
With Oppå Borgen, however, we agreed on festival tickets as payment in kind. As a result, nearly 20 people from Halden who would not normally make it to a festival have received tickets.
We have an agreement with the festivals that we will meet during the winter to see if there is more H2H can contribute to next year's events, Høvik concludes.

At H2H you can rent a large 9x18 metre tent (which can also be sectioned to make it shorter), 3x6 and 3x3 pop-up tents, a stage with a tent for smaller events, table and bench sets, and round tables.
